The problem you are encountering is that no macro will run because every second the DoMarquee is triggered.
Als, if you do not 'unschedule' it correctly it will not stop, you may even have problems closing Excel.
My idea would be to just invoke DoMarquee in the macros you are running.
P.S. Don't literally translate Dutch into English, it makes no sense.

Ya know.....I think the easiest way to do this would be create yourself an animated .gif with scrolling text and then just add that to the worksheet as an image. Unless the text needs to be dynamic....

Google 'animation shop'. Last time I used it was 1998 so chances are there's a freeware version by now.

Ok, I just googled what 'biljart' is.....so no, the text doesn't need to be dynamic and no other macro's need to run at the same time as this. So:

Change "A1" to change the cell this displays in.
Change the value after 'Sleep' to change the speed at which it scrolls.
Change the 10 in the Mid$ line to alter the amount of text it displays at once.
And to stop it, use CTRL-BREAK.
EDIT: Doh! It's spelt 'kernel', not 'kernal'.

Your macro works but nothing else can be done while it is running. I tried inserting DoEvents but no change.
I wonder if a UserForm, sized down and made ShowModal = False might be a workaround ? Haven't tried it .
It seems no one can help me. I'm not a expert in VBA I would like to learn more. Examples will help me.
quick google for "create animated gif marquee" will bring lots of options I think...

Well, as far as I understand it, the OP doesn't need to do anything while this text is scrolling. It's purely to run a scrolling advertising banner during a game of snooker. If other things need to run then it's animated .gif time, if not then job done.Originally Posted by Logit

You could even populate from an Excel file to make it dynamic

Others have downloaded the files then changed the extension to .xls or .xlsx, etc.

Hi Logit this is what I was looking for thanks for your help.
I like this, especially the show in userform.
One thing, if you set ShowModal to False it still works and you can continue typing in Excel and move around all you want.
You do however need to unload the form of else it stays on.

There was more to it. The userform doesn't fully unload so I added some code to make sure that when you close the form the code is actually unloaded.
Now you can do more with it. Imagination is the limit

Just click the form to show the section where the buttons are to manipulate the marquee
