Hello,
I am using Excel 2011 on a MacBook Pro running the latest version of El Capitan. Our company uses a per diem form from Formstack that has the user select arrival and departure dates from a list, i.e., 08/10/2016, 08/11/2016, 08/12/2016, etc. for the entire year. I am hoping that I can suggest a way to use a calendar pop up when the cell to the right of "Arrival Date" is clicked, date is selected from pop up calendar, date as formatted appears in the active cell and calendar closes when the selection is made. The process would be repeated when the cell to the right of "Departure Date" is selected. I use the formula =Datedif to determine the number of days in a cell to the right of "Days Away From Home".
In short, I wish for the pop up calendar to become visible when the active cell is clicked. The active cells (to the immediate right of the two descriptive cells) are the only two date formatted cells. I also wish to be able to close the calendar if opened in error. Any suggestions?
