Allow cell selecting but disable manual cell editing

Hello all,

My sheet contains an area in which I want the user to edit cells by use of a UF only. (range F9:S100)
By double clicking a cell the UF will popup, so the user needs to be able to select the cell.

All other cells on the sheet are protected and are not able to be selected.
I hoped the following would work for a particular range only, but it does not
