EDIT: Fixed it so nvm. The issue is related to plugging the laptop away from the monitor and turning it back in which obviously shouldn't cause problems. But for w/e reason you need to restart the laptop without the monitor being connected to it. Otherwise it causes performance related issues. As a consequence excel now takes up 16% of CPU ressources from 4%.
Apologize if I am writing this on the wrong forum since I am not actually asking help VBA directly.
I had a few codes that I used to run and analyze large sets of data. They worked fine until today where my laptop now takes forever to run through the codes. And nothing has changed with the codes or with my computer. I spent hours today trying to optimize the code, but it still barely help. I also noticed that when VBA opens a new Excel file it takes like 8 seconds to load it where it used to open almost instantly.
I think the explanation might be that my laptop suddenly decided to spend alot less ressources on Excel because I don't hear any "working sound" anymore. Usually you could hear the laptop working when running through a large code, but it doesn't do that anymore. Instead it's completely silent leaving me to believe its not using the same amount of power to run through the codes.
So I apologize once again for the untraditional question, but I wonder if anyone else has run into a similar problem or has a potential solution to it.
Thanks in advance.
