Merge multiple Workbook into the master list

    Hi there,

Everyday I am require to update the attendance of the participants who attended the venue. I have a master template and everyday I start from Row A9 and filled the information to M9 and input the data into each row for each person. At the end of each day, I will have a list of participants in the workbook. This number is not fixed.

I need assistance to create a macro to transfer all the participants from each workbook(for march i will have 31 workbook from my folder and I have to manually open all 31 files and copy and paste into a new workbook to consolidate all the participants detail) and paste into a new workbook.

I tried finding online but could not find 1 that matches my requirement and I didnt know how to make changes to suit my style. Furthermore, as the number of participants for each day is not fixed, I am unable to fix the range of row to copy into the master workbook.

Would be glad if some1 can help me to create a macro for it. Thanks in advance.

Assuming your workbook has only 1 sheet and the range you copy is A9:M9 + an unknown number of rows a macro like this could probably work for you. You need to change the sPath to the folder where your files are stored.

If the last "\" is missing in the sPath string the macro will not work i.e.

Re: Merge multiple Workbook into the master list

    Hi

Five months ago I did solve your problem.

Even if you thanked people in advance when posting, where I come from this is done when you receive help. We call it common courtesy.

According to forum rules one should thank the person that helps you as well as mark the thread "Solved" and you can also click their star to give rep points.

After a month with no feedback from you I have put your on my "Waste of effort never help again" list.

As I understand there seems to be some forum members that keep the same kind of list so I would recommend you to stick to forum rules in the future i.e.

    1) Thank those who helps you
    2) Mark thread solved when you get a solution even if you solve the problem yourself.

As for me helping you again, never!

    Alf

    Hi Alf,

Sorry for the mis-treatment from me. I believed it was indeed rude of me not to give credit to you during the 1st round of help. I am ashamed of my own behaviour.

I can totally understand where you are coming from. Thanks for the 1st contribution. I will delete my second post(if possible).

Thanks for your help earlier and it served as a wake up call to me as well. I sincerely apologized.
