    Customer ID Error

Hello all. I have this invoice workbook that looks up the customer by their ID on the 'Customers' worksheet. The information isn't matching correctly not sure why. The ID is placed on the invoices to populate the customer information.

Could someone please help? Thank you very much in advance for any help or suggestions.

    Re: Customer ID Error

Customer table must be sorted on ID number, then formula works.
BTW lookup syntax for If.Error formula.

I think it is that way so the last name stays in order. The ID needs to stay with each customer even after new customers are added.

    Use Index-Match formula

That pulls in the correct last name but the other info is wrong.

    Re: Customer ID Error

    You're welcome.
One point of advice though, in your formulas use Dynamic Named Ranges or even better make a Table of your customer list.
In that case your searchrange expands or shrinks automatic when you add or delete customers and you don't have to worry about adjusting all your formulas.
Setting a too big searchrange decreases performance of formulas.
