How to apply LEN in UDF?

Hi. Can someone help me on creating a UDF that accept any text on and output the lenght of it. Here is the code I tried to start but I don't know how to proceed to get a result:

Function LResult(input_txt) As String
stringcount = Len(input_txt)

End Function

to return a value from the UDF, assign the desired result to the function name:

LResult=stringcount (or whatever the result expression should be).
End Function

Hi. I got it. I changed it to:

Function LResult(input_txt As String) As String

Lenstring = Len(input_txt)
LResult = Lenstring

End Function
