    Urgently need formula display value in 2 different columns based on the selection criteria

    Hi,

    I am looking for a formula and macro for the attached condition.
    Can some one please help me in creating this.
    It is very urgent and I have been struggling to create this.

    Request you please help me in creating.

    Have attached the requirement criteria and worksheet.

    As per the attached excel, below is the requirement: -
    Main Reports sheet:
    1.Formula to update column E “Defects Fixed” based on column D value –
    Match the value of column D of Main Reports sheet with the value in column A of Daily Defects sheet, if column B in Daily Defects sheet is “Fixed” then input the highest Severity value of column C from Daily Defects sheet into column E of Main Reports sheet.

    For Example-
    BusinessImpact
    (move over daily + Sort by Status 2, Defect Id, Severity Status 2 Severity

    B Fixed 2 - Critical
    B Fixed 1 - Show Stopper
    In this case it should populate “1 - Show Stopper” i.e. in the Severity sequence of 1,2,3,4; the highest value should be displayed it means if the Severity is displayed as 2 and 3 then 2 should be displayed

    2. Formula to update column F “Defects To Fix” based on column D value –
    Match the value of column D of Main Reports sheet with the value in column A of Daily Defects sheet, if column B in Daily Defects sheet is “To be Fixed” then input the highest Severity value of column C from Daily Defects sheet into column F of Main Reports sheet.
    For Example-

    C To be Fixed 2 - Critical

    Need a Macro or formula to populate Reports Unique list sheet
    Based on column B “Unique list” in Main Reports sheet look for unique numbers and populate its first row data in the Reports Unique list sheet.
    For Example-
    In Main Reports sheet
    Unique list Apex Report Name Defects Fixed Defects To fix
    1 B 1 - Show Stopper
    3 D
    5 F
    7 H
    It should display the data of first row in the Reports Unique list shee

    ===Attaching both the sheet (local excel which contains all the 3 tabs or worksheet) & (a detailed requirement document called "Urgently needed implementation".

    What do you mean by "just a requirement"? You seem to be asking for a complete solution. Looking at your attached sheet, you haven't done any of the work yourself.

    I have done all the hardwork but since iam a newbee in excel wanted your guidance and support... Moreover if i would have had the solution, i would closed the issue.
