Adding buttons in quick access toolbar via macro

    Hi all,

I've been searching on the internet but i can't really find a simple solution.

    The problem:
The user profiles are reset every night for, for example, the quick access toolbar in excel.
This means that i, and colleagues, need to insert the tools (macro's) each day again and again.

The macro's that are being used are stored in the xlstart/personal.xlsb file.

So is there a macro that could add these buttons?
    I created the macro test.
So the full name is "PERSONAL.XLSB!Test"

How i imagine it is that i create a simple macro in a excel file, that adds all the buttons with their respective macro's.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Cripsy,

What if you add your QAT functions to a blank workbook and save it just like a normal document. Then, instead of opening a new, blank workbook you open the one with your functions in it.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Hi,

The problem is that this toolbar isn't dependent on the workbook but on the settings of excel / server settings.
Our server doesn't save the customized toolbar yet, in the mean while i was wondering if a macro could be made to fill the QAT.

The QAT buttons are stored in a file called Excel.OfficeUI. You might create a macro to backup and restore that file but I do not believe you can directly add buttons to the QAT using VBA.
