    Deleting Repeated Lines of Data

I get data imported into an excel spreadsheet. Its not very conducive because I have around 450 pages of data that all have the same header at the top of the page with information I want removed. Is there any code that will help me remove all the repeated lines that I don't need? See attached spreadsheet, the highlighted items are what I would need to be removed. Basically I'm wanting to delete 8 rows, keep the next 48, delete the next 8, keep the next 48, and repeat.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give me.

Re: Deleting Repeated Lines of Data

    Hi ISUCyclones,

There is a new tool in the newer versions of Excel called "Power Query" that you can download and install as an add in.
    http://myexcelonline.com/blog/instal...ry-excel-2010/

Power Query is like a Pre Processor of data that you import into an Excel worksheet. Instead of a copy and paste of your data into a sheet you would use Power Query to get the data into its window first. THEN it has tools to filter rows and/or columns. You would then click on the Load & Close Icon and it would import into your worksheet without those rows.

Watch this video that shows what I mean:

Power Query also called Get & Transform in 2016 Excel is the tool you need, but it is Very new and is the tool you need to solve your problem.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Re: Deleting Repeated Lines of Data

Unfortunately I am not using Excel 2016 yet so I'm guessing this won't be an option. Any other ideas or formulas?!
    Thanks

Re: Deleting Repeated Lines of Data

Because you are using 2010 you can install Power Query as an Add-In. It is from Microsoft!!

It takes about 10 keystrokes and no formulas or VBA to do what you need.

    Here would be the process.
    1. Install Power Query from the above link I gave you.
    2. Use it to load your file into the Power Query window
    3. Create a filter to remove those lines by what is in them
    4. Load that filtered data into an Excel sheet.

If you could give a sample of your data, I could count how many mouse clicks it would take. I'd bet it is somewhere around 10.
Also - when you import your data, what format is it in? CSV? Another Excel Table? Text? SQL? Power query will import any of these.
