Replace a disappearing command button with Text

The cell contents (along with the command button disappear after selecting and works perfectly. I am trying to replace the cell contents with the text "confirmed". Probably an easy solution but I am new to VBA and still learning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you mikerickson for your reply. This code works, but only for one cell. I have buttons in cells E4:E17. It only provides the "confirmed" response to E5. I have trying to figure out how to add the proper range but can't. Am I doing something wrong?
