    Accessing Add-In locks Excel

I have three different addins loaded, two of which I made myself. I've been using all three for over a year, and I'm constantly tweaking my two. About 3 months ago I started having an Excel issue; if I have a workbook or workbooks open, then go into any of my add-ins, to look or to make a change, when I close the VB Editor I can't click into any cell in any of my workbooks. But I CAN switch between tabs, switch between workbooks, open/close the VB editor, etc. The only two ways I've found to restore full functionality is either 1) Close and reopen Excel or 2) Run CodeCleaner. For some reason CodeCleaner snaps Excel back to reality.

This makes me think one of my add-ins is doing something, but I've tried removing each one; I experience the same issue with any one of them still installed.

I've done a Repair from the Control Panel. Not sure what to try next. Any help is appreciated.

Update: the issue appears to be just when I do a Save while in the VB Editor.

    Re: Accessing Add-In locks Excel

Related: I notice my add-in keeps increasing in size. CodeCleaner makes a backup, so I can compare file size before and after. Before is 375KB, after is 251KB. Seems like a pretty big change. Could whatever's increasing the file size also be the thing that's causing Excel to lock up?
