Using RFID reader to populate attendance roster for training events

Hello,

I do a lot of training for my company. We currently use paper based rosters for people to sign in and track attendance for the training.

However, I would like to make this all paperless and have heard about using RFID readers to scan in to each class like you would clock in to work. We do not have any programs in place now and I would rather not pay anything to have an official software do this for me.

I have the RFID reader and everyone already has RFID badges to get into our facility.

Can you help me out here?
