How do you use the sheet code name in a macro

Hello.

I recorded a macro that is currently saved in my Personal workbook. I need the macro to run on any of the data spreadsheets I open so the first worksheet will already be named. This causes me to initially have a 'Sheet1' codename for the first worksheet and a 'Sheet1' name for the second worksheet until I change the second sheet name later in the macro. I need the macro to to use a value from the first worksheet. My macro appears to be using the sheet name instead of the sheet code name. It's using the value from Sheet 2 instead of Sheet 1. Please let me know if I need to include more of the code. Thank you!
