find first entry in listbox

hi
can anyone see from this why the list box will not show the first initial entry,i have entered rv417 in search box but does not show in listbox although its set to look from a2,if I enter rv417 and add then it shows both entries,also can not find a way of lengthening the columns in listbox to display the first few columns,type rv416
and it seems to cut the location off
any help would be gratefully excepted ,ive only been on this for last 2 days and am totally stumped
