Macro to check excel file with word document

    Hi all :-)

Hope, that here is someone who would be able to help me with the following task

    I have following sources:

    1. One simple excel file with 2 sheets Employee list ( contains Name, Surname,Employee ID, Date of birth , Role, Salary, Project) and Check Results
    2. Official Word document with hundred of pages, 1 page for each employee ( Agreement between Company and employee )

What I need, not sure, if it's possible to copy Name, Surname, Salary , Date of Birth and Employee ID from Excel file to prepared word document. Where 1 word page is for each employee. So macro should go thorough excel rows and copy data to prepared word template.
Once this is done, to do the crosscheck of those 2 files , if all the data were copy pasted correctly ( as might happed that correct date should be 1.8.1990 and not 8.1.1990 :-) Crosscheck result should be than written in excel "Check Results" sheet.

So basically, we need some check macro to make sure, that data match in both files for autid purposes and to avoid manual check of hundreds of pages

Hope I explained that correctly and easy to understand.

    Thaaaank you,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

This sounds like you need to simply do a Mail Merge between Excel and Word.

Here is a complete manual on how to do it.

One test is worth a thousand opinions.

What do you want for a crosscheck? If you searched the word documents after producing them, would that be correct? I really don't know what a crosscheck would involve.

I know that via email Merge this will be done automaticky. Bud is there any chance, that finale document could have different format? Example in Excel salary in euros but in Word in USD , oR diferent date format europian or american?
Just asking, because of the accuracy 😊
