Pivot chart x-axis labelling

Hello,

I have huge data sets which I want to graph so I decided to use a pivot table and chart. I am having troubles with the x-axis labelling, I can't make it to look good...simply too many labels.

I want to remove the multi-layer graph have a label every X amount of time with the format MM/DD/HH. Did a pretty extensive search on google and no luck which is why I am resorting to creating an account here and hopefully get some help

I don't use pivot charts myself. As I understand it, the problem here is that the XY scatter or date axis options are not available to pivot charts, limiting pivot charts to only category x axis.
