Input Box with row set by value in A1

I need a macro that will match the date in A1 with the date in A10:A and input the value entered into an input box in the relevant cell in column B. I have attached a worksheet for reference.

Not Clear.. as to what value should be in B column.... please give a sample output

sorry output in column B should be the output from the text box so if user enters "1" in the text box and A15 is the same date as is in A1 then the "1" is inserted in B15. Hope this helps.

John, I have just realized that the date is in ddd/mmmm/yyyy format on my original worksheet and the code will not work unless in date format, can you modify it to allow it to do so?
