I am making a bill of material of 15 building. I want to optimize the excel sheet. The BOM is made of 3 column: descriprion of the material, supplier and number of pieces.
Unfortunately every building has a different bill of material, and I have to group it, creating a general bill of material. The material should be group and the criteria is to have just one item, that have the same description and suppliare.
Then I want to sum all the pieces with the same name and supplier. I have already reached the scope using the normal command of excel. But To group the material and then to sum everything could need a lot of time, specially If I have always to update it. I think that use a macro to solve this problem could be the best solution, but I used vba in excel only at the university and I have no idea how to do this kind of macro. I accept every advice.
