remove cell content based on another cells text

Afternoon,

I need some help with something i cannot get my head around.

I need a cell (f9) to be cleared of its content if sell (r9) says "installed' I need this for the below rows also. Cell f9 and r9 have drop down lists an I'm not sure if that is hampering things?

Ive tried numerous examples but cannot get the right code to work

Any help is greatly appreciated.

sure.

basically once you have selected the install drop down in column R the row lights green as completed. I need Cell in column F to have its 'text' removed once it switches to complete so that it detaches from the overview boxes and re calculate the furniture on the right handside. I wasn't sure what the best way or if it can be done and from what I gathered conditional formatting wasn't the answer.

Why your here John, I was going to post another post after I had sorted this problem. If a cell in row L (sheet1) highlights in red because it has gone over its outstanding invoice date. Can a cell in column G Highlight in red on a separate sheet called 'summary' displaying the text 'Outstanding Invoices' via VBA? I understand its not possible via CF even if it didn't display the Oustanding Invoice text

If so could help help on the code?

You're welcome. Glad to help out and thanks for the feedback. You would probably have received a lot of responses to your last question if you had started another thread on it. For me I would advise posting a sample workbook which would show the spreadsheet and layout before a macro is run, and then another of what you want it too look like after the macro is run.
