Possible to use a Userform to populate cells on worksheet like a database?

I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of our assets and data plate info as well as inspection schedules etc. It is about 2000 rows long and 50 columns wide. When changes are done, the unit number is filtered, then one moves across the columns to change the cells needing change. Can this be done with a userform? By entering the unit number the formula will find the row, probably with vlookup or index/match? My only problem is going to be units that have the sane number, but have two or three rows of data (combined unit). Not really looking for code, hopefully I can figure that out over time, just if someone has done something like that and is possible. I am wondering if it would be any time saving doing it this way as well? Thanks!

Can you post a copy of your workbook without any sensitive data. This way someone can write the code and test for you

There are many ways to do this with user forms. A quick search on You Tube gave me the following results:

These videos should give you a few ideas. Perhaps only trial will tell if it's more efficient than your current method.

Thanks folks for the replies and it obviously is possible! This will be my fall/winter project I think. I never think to look on youtube for such things.
