    Smile Excel function result using vba

    Dear All,

    I have excel sheet to fetch data from text file. It is mixed of excel function and VBA code.For sorting copy and transfer data I used VBA recording. But take a lot time to run. So I wish to learn VBA and want to write entire code in VBA. Towards first step

    To know how excel function work in VBA I have created small excel file.

    I have text data in column A and to get required information excel sheet function in column B.
    In column A I have data and in column B formula.
    Data in column A are not fixed number, it varies. Kindly guide me to write VBA code.

    This would help me in creating my excel sheet.
    I would like to know is it wise to use excel function in worksheet or in VBA to faster the process.

    A geat asset of macros is that you can fire them only when you want, and therefore it does not slow down calculation.
    Of course this is not free because for maintenance purpose "excel function" are really easier to use.
    Time, Cost, Quality .. it is difficult to be the best for all of them at the same time.
