    Auto Numbering and Saving for users on different computers & networks

    Can someone help me figure this out please. I have created a workbook that has Work Orders sheet that I need multiple people to have access to and also be able to edit/use. There are codes in there that will auto generate work order numbers based on the last used number but when someone opens the file on a different computer it starts at the number last used on that computer and when they save the file it gives them an "Error 400" I also need the files to save a new workbook to a specific folder in dropbox with it being named as a certain cell (G2) value plus the date. I would like for the sheet to adjust the work order number across all the spreadsheets the same. I'm not sure how to code it right and I have been stuck for days. I have attached the workbook in hopes that someone can look at it and help.

    What you are trying to do may be better accomplished by using a database, and then using SQL calls from a front end (even an excel userform) to add/modify records.

    If you don't mind helping me a little more that would be great. I am new to this and only got what I did from doing some research.

    Or is there a way to use a macros code to where it will save the sheet as a new tab at the bottom of the main workbook and name it as cell G2 value + date and also is it possible to lock the workbook so only 1 user can have it open at one time?
