Not sure if it at possible but hey, its why I am here.
I work for Quarantine in Australia, we have an excel(2010) spreadsheet which works very well(untill we can work out a better way), it records seizure detaiils and the details are used for a number of things.
What I would like to do is auto generate a backwards date, kind of like an record number, so that this number can be used when referring back, instead of XXX plus YYY plus ZZZ.
I have attached a spreadsheet and manually added what I would like to happen automatically(if possible) in column A and bunch of dates in Column B.
So I would like it start with 'HOB' if the Region is 'S', 'LTN' if the region is 'N' and 'NW' if the region is 'NW', followed by the date as YYMMDD_00x.
Not really sure if that explains it correctly but have a look at the attached and let me know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
