code stops at Update Links, will not let Application Run

Hello,
I have received a lot of good advise and help on this forum.
Attached you will find the workbook that is testing my basic understanding of VBE.
The code runs up until the line

It highlights this line, and will not proceed with the request of:

I have tried to search through the help functions for the "UpdateLinks", but can not find a solution to my problem.
The workbook does open, but that is as far as it goes.
I am asking for help, as I seem to be stuck and tried other solutions (in a copy of this workbook) to get the code working, but only made it worse.
So I am back with the original workbook, that at least opens at the specified time of day.
If I can only get it to run the requested application after opening, I would be very happy.
I do not understand the UpdateLinks command, nor the number behind it, are those the amount of worksheets, cells...?

You can specify one of the following values in the UpdateLinks parameter to determine the delimiter character for the file:
Value Meaning
1 User specifies how links will be updated
2 Never update links for this workbook on opening
3 Always update links for this workbook on opening

I marked this thread as solved, because you have answered my request with the solution.
I have tried the "3" before, without success. However - I do not have access to the software that the files are linked to (DUH on my side for forgetting that).
The workbook will be handed over to the requestor, that runs the software for this machine on his desktop.
For any other issues that may arrise, I will post another thread for help
