Huge Hello to all the Guru's
I have upgraded from Excel 2007/Excel 2010 to Office 365 (Monthly Subscription Version), previously all the macros/VBA Coding that I use worked nearly all of the time, since upgrading to the newer version of excel all my macro's/VBA coding works perfectly. So you may ask whats the problem? well I decided to take advantage of the 'Ribbon' and change from macro buttons to having all my macro's in the ribbon and it worked perfectly and looked quite professional, I do a 'SAVE AS' with this file each week the only items that get changed is the daily dates and work orders nothing else is changed. So coming up to a meeting I copied my file to a thumb-drive which I always do, went into the meeting room set everything up, opened up my newly designed excel file, clicked on a macro in the ribbon and to my astonishment I get the dreaded error "Sorry, we couldn't find 'C:\Maintenance\weekly schedule\..................... Is It possible it was moved, renamed or deleted? and of course the macros/VBA coding did not work. I spent the weekend researching about this error and tried various solutions to none worked. I tried different ways of saving to which nothing worked, Character length is a total of 114 characters so I don't think that is a problem with saving. My only alternative was to go back to my original macro buttons to be able to 'SAVE AS' and work with the excel file as normal.
Question to all is there some sort of fix for this? Am I doing something wrong i.e. saving it as a "SAVE AS' instead of something else? I tried exporting and importing the customization file to which the same error popped up, I have emailed Microsoft and still waiting for a reply! so now I'm at a loss, maybe there is no fix and it is one of Microsoft's many problems! If there is a solution I would be entirely grateful.
Again thank you for your valuable time, and please excuse my long winded story!
Best Regards
Dave.
