pause button in excel

hello

me again needing your epertise..

it is an ordinary time log for me to measure how long i am performing a certain task. but since i have to perform multiple tasks, i have to "pause" the timer for 1 task before i can proceed with another.

can anybody help me in adding a code for the pause/resume button? and when i clicked on the stop button the time elapsed will not include how long the time is paused? right now the time elapsed is just start - stop.

i tried searching in google but i had some problem in incorporating it in my file. i need to have it in the exact format right now as i am transferring all the info in another database.

really appreciate your help on this.

do you think its possible that the pause between times would be placed in U5 and U6... then when he pause again it would be placed V5 and V6 and so on... then the computation for time elapsed would compute all the columns?

thanks for your time. i checked the file. correct me if i am wrong but it seems the elasped time computation, ould only allow the user to pause the task once? would it be possible that user can start the timer... pause it.... restart again.. pause... resume.. pause.. resume? i mean if the user can pause and resume the task multiple times, then it would be great.
