I have made different Add-ins with different mathematical functions at work and both my colleagues and I use them and we should be able to share excel files containing these functions.

When we used XP at work the add-ins was placed in the standard place chosen by windows. However path to this place was different from person to person as the path contained the users work reference. Therefore we had to change the functions path every time we had to use an Excel file made by a colleague.

We have now changed to Window 7 and Office 2010. I have then chosen to place all add-ins in “C:/Excel addins” for all my colleagues and me so the add-ins are placed on the same folder on all computers.

However now I have another problem. If I make an Excel file on my desktop, move it to a place on a network drive and then try to open the file Excel can’t find the functions as it expects to find the add-ins on that network drive like “R:/Excel addins”.

What am I doing wrong and what should I do so my colleagues and I can exchange Excel files without any problems.

I hope you understand my problem and can help me.
