pick end of month date from daily date

hi. How to pick the end of month date from daily dates. In some months the last date i.e. 30 or 31 might be saturday or sunday. So in this case how to pick the last date of the month i.e. 29?

This formula is not working in my case. I am working on stocks data. for some stocks data is not available on 30 or 31 of the month. Say in january stock A traded on date 26. so data is not available on 27, 28, 29, 30 or 31. in this case i have to pick 26 as the last trading day. Any vba cod for that?
