Is there a Visual Basic formula to produce a word cloud from a lengthy list of URL's in Excel 2010?
Have you got a sample of the Urls and the words you want to include?
Kyle123,
Thanks for the quick reply & pardon me if I wasn't very clear. I have one column in Excel (2010)containing a list of 75,000+ anchor text URL's; what I'd like to do is count the number of Keywords in this range, arranged most - least as a word cloud of the keywords within the URL's. Is there a Visual Basic formula that could be used?
Here's a video that describes the technique but not the formula: http://youtu.be/BYkVoyakkms

I understand exactly what you want, you were perfectly clear - but we need a sample of the urls. The code for "#a-word" would be different from "a_word" or "a/word" for example
So what words do you want to include / exclude?
Presumably you don't want:
http, www, com
but what about
products, about, us
What about other domains, so do you have any that are .org, .gov, .co.uk etc?
I'd like a macro to perform three functions:
1. Analyze a list of various types of URL's or simply list of words to understand repetition;
2. Than in a nearby column list from most used words to least used words;
3. Next to the list of words the count of occurrences.
The visual portion of the word cloud wouldn't be needed. I'm not very technical but I understand that a VB macro can consider multiple tasks than produce a result but Excel filters only perform one task at a time.
