Scared to open workbooks from a main workbook. - Help me see the light

Hi,

So before I had a code in a workbook that generated a new work book based on the dates in a cell.

issue was that the newworkbooks I would generate daily always referenced that cell from the main workbook as the main date somehow and caused errors in my data.


This causes a road block in my codes because I enter the data manually.

what is the safest way to say change a file names date automatically and open that workbook

Perhaps you can find somthing usefull here?
