copy output of cell with formula to another worksheet without blank

    Hi all,

I'm building a "configurator" tool for a sales rep. He just have to select some informations in the sheet1 "Configurateur" and he will have the part number, price and item description displayed in another cells. I want another worksheet (Soumission) with the output values of the first sheet displayed on the first available row.

So basically the user only need to click on a button "Créer la soumission" (Create quote) to have all needed informations from worksheet "Soumission". However, cells from "Configurateur" may not have Value in it (but they have a formula in it) so, when I try to remove blank value row, it doesn't work.

This seems complicated and I may not be very clear about this. So I've attached the document.

So try this and you'll see what I mean.
    - Sheet1 "Configurateur" ---- Enter "1" in the grey cell next to "Sans fil - WIFI". You should see a Qte, part number, description and price next to it.
    - Sheet2 "Soumission" ---- Click on the button "Créer la soumission". You should have the information from the previous sheet. However, it's not displayed in the first available row.

    Thanks in advance !

    Frank

Hi Frank. Have you considered using a Worksheet_Change event in your "Configurateur" worksheet? This approach would automatically copy your data to the "Soumission" sheet as soon as you enter the quantity without clicking any buttons and it would also eliminate the need for the macro you are currently using.

Hum, I don't know how to create this. Do you have any exemple ? In fact, as soon as I have the output of sheet1 to sheet2 it's ok for me. But it should use the first available line in sheet2

Copy and paste this macro into the worksheet code module. Do the following: right click the tab for your "Configurateur" sheet and click 'View Code'. Paste the macro into the empty code window that opens up. Close the code window to return to your sheet. Enter the quantity in column B.

It's working, however, If I enter a value in B8 in sheet1 "Configurateur" then it copies it to line 8 in sheet2 "Soumission". It should copy it to Line 3.

The problem is that your "Soumission" sheet was defined as a table. I have deleted the old sheet and created a new regular sheet. Try the attached file and see if it works for you.

Sorry Frank. I thought I had solved the problem but it's still there. Give me a little time to look at it further.

Re: copy output of cell with formula to another worksheet without blank

It's better indeed. However, on B4, if I enter a value in this cell, the content of E3 should update. It doesn't update on sheet2 and it should match the text in Sheet1 E3. Same thing for all dropdown options. If I select something in any dropdown, the description will change and it's not updating in Sheet2. That's why I used a button with macro assigned to it.

Thank for all your work by the way. It's very appreciated.

When you enter a value in B4, cell E3 won't update unless a value is entered in B3. As far as I can see, the data copied to the second sheet matches the data in the first sheet.

Re: copy output of cell with formula to another worksheet without blank

ok, so how can I accomplish this ? Because the value in the description, part number and price are linked with the choice of different option in B column.

In the code, change this line:

    to this line:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
First make your selection in B4 then make your selection in B3. That should update the second sheet correctly.
