I have a large report that reports the status of many Part Numbers, Stocks,Sample Approval, Buyers etc
This report uses the slicer function to switch between different Projects, and dedicated part numbers, its a fairy complex sheet
This is the function i am trying to add
All the data is held in an import data sheet,
The issue i have is that i need a comments Column to add status comments during the meeting
But this is the dilemma,
you have to take the part number in the Pivot Table ( Report Section ) and jump into the DATA sheet with aprox 5000+ components find the part number and mover over to a comments column in the data sheet, Add the text and then jump back to the pivot report and move to the next number
This is laborious and not very slick during the meeting
It is my understanding that the manually typed in Comments must be added into the DATA sheet as you can not type into the Pivot Report Section
The question is
Can VB be used to allow you click on the part number in the Pivot Table and it will take you to the corresponding cell Ref in a comments column in the data sheet allowing you to just type in comments hit escape and take you back to report pivot table and refresh pulling your comments through.
