You need to Sort the entire sheet considering the Column X (Ascending or descending)???

Mark whole range, starting form upper right cell (X2) and dragging selection down and left until you reach bottom of data (cell A989) then on the card "Data" press icon AZdown or AZup in Sort group.

Hello, Actually the order in which I wanted t sorted is given in col X. My data range is from A1:V989. CC and col X have the same data. Hope this helps

Select column W
Copy,
Paste special as values (in the same place).
Now apply given above procedure, but starting from W2 (instead of X2) and selecting down-left etc.
