Increase Web Query Refresh Rate <1 minute

How can I get excel to refresh external connections at a greater rate than 1 minute?

I have about 9 external connections to currency feeds and I need a faster data update. It takes about 10 seconds to update the 9 connections I have, so if I can increase it to every 15 seconds it would be great. My data connections are in various sheets in the workbook.

Also, not as important as above but can I show on one of the sheets a count down in seconds to the next external connection or update.
