    Extracting data from Dump

    Hi All,

    Am having a dump of records in excel. Excel contains records of more than 10000. From that i need to extract only the account details. All the account details will begins with "000". But the dump contains unwanted details also. Is it possible to delete all the other data's other than the records which begins with "000".

    Have attached a sample File.

    Hi Sundar,

    please find the attachment, Use value formula,which help you to extract the data which you want.

    filter the first row and delete zeros ans #VALUE in the cell this is the one of simple way to extract the data

    Hi Ganesh,

    Thanks for that. But it wont work. for sample alone i have entered few numbers like 000489. But my cell value length is 255 char. Am sorry for that.

    EG Cell value: 000123456789123456 00012345678912648 Shyam Sundar

    Can you give your exact input ???? if your cell have a unwanted character means what its having number with character [ ex:- 000123asd] ????

    I have attached another excel. Unwanted char here am referring the spaces after Every 40 records there will be line breakage like spaces, date,time and all.

    can you try in text to column wizard in data lable. i think which helps you...

    ganesh, Am already using test to column now. But i thought to automate this one
