    Open file with partial name

    Hi, Friends,

I m have a file with name: "31 Dec Bank Statement 2014.xlsx", I want to open this file only specifying the partial name for example: "Dec Bank Statement 2014.xlsx". Please help me how to open the file only specifying the partial name.

    Thanks

    Syed.

Re: Open file with partial name

The best you could do is to just pick the first or last file if a partial match was found. If that is what you want, we could help with that.

Normally, I just use wildcard characters in a standard file open dialog to trim a list down for selection. I have written macros to do that as well.
