Complications with drop-down lists - NOT Data Validation

Hi Everyone,

I work for a food service broker doing reports and one of the forms provided by our manufacturer has become faulty within the past week. It's begun to interfere with my workflow and unfortunately I can't figure out what the problem is, nor can anyone else in my office. I am currently using Excel v. 2010.

There are several drop-down lists embedded in the form which are necessary to fill in. This is what they look like:

As you can see, this is not the same type of drop-down that you would create with Data Validation. I'm not sure how they formatted this & if macros were involved. I cannot select the drop-down list at all. The SELECT cursor (looks like a wide plus sign) comes up when I try to click the list but nothing appears. I can highlight the cells behind the drop-downs but there is no interaction between my cursor and the lists whatsoever.

Worth mentioning: This does not just apply to my saved version of this form, I've had several people forward me fresh ones, as well as looked through my old ones which have already been populated with information, and the problem remains the same.

If anyone can help figure out what the problem may be, it would be beyond helpful.

try to delete .exd files from mentioned loaction.. and let us know.. if its still not working..
