I had an ActiveX toggle control that suddenly quit working on me. I deleted the control and tried to insert the control again. However, now excel will not allow me to insert any ActiveX control. I can insert form controls but nothing on ActiveX.

browse to c:\users\your_user_name\appdata\local\temp\excel8.0 and delete MSForms.exd
Back it up just in case, but I've deleted on a few machines, and all is well after that.
Edit:
May have to delete the .exd in c:\users\your_user_name\appdata\local\temp\vbe as well
Close office apps before deleting.
