Not entirely sure I have interpreted correctly.

    File is attached.

In A23 this formula array - entered:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

fill down to row 25 and across to column C.

Then in D23 this formula array - entered:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

fill down to row 25 and across to column I.

To array enter a formula commit with Ctrl + Shift + Enter not simply enter.

Is this something you can use?

No VBA is really needed for this task. You can use a Pivot Table to get this result. Once you've created the Pivot Table once, you should be able to update the source data and refresh the table at will.

Re: How to transpose column data into field name (column name)

Hi, I have a question on the pivot table that you help me with. How should I bring the real value in pivot table when the value is a text instead of number? for example: in the spreadsheet if the grade is 'PASS', 'FAIL NEED' 'IMPROVEMENT' instead of 80, 90, 95 etc.

    thanks,
    Dave

Pivot tables are for numerical data evaluation in the key fields, text in the criteria and categorization fields. I have no experience trying to derive table data that way.

IN a Pivot Table I'd think the PASS/FAIL/NI would be used as both COLUMN labels and TABLE values, then you could at least get a COUNT. Not sure its doable, the question doesn't go with the originally posted sample data, does it?
