Hello everyone,

I've got a large dataset that I'm looking to analyze for practice until I take my own data. Currently the count data looks like this (example):

Plot number/ Species 1/ Species 2/ Species 3/species 4…
1/0/1/0/4
2/1/3/5/0
3/4/7/0/0
4…

And I would like it to look something like this so that I can preform sums and compare the proportion of certain species counts in one plot.

Plot
1/species1
1/species1
1/species4
2/species1
2/species2
2/species2...

I have never used macros or VBA but I'm dedicating the next two weeks of my MSc to learning about them. Can anyone suggest a book that would help me on my way (I wouldn't even know what to do with a code if someone gave it to me).
