Data Scraping Password Protected websites

    Hello,

I am mid-level at VBA and have created several useful macros to make my job easier. I am still stuck manually getting data from websites and was looking into pulling the data from different resources automatically. Unfortunately, every site I use is password protected so it isn't as simple as just using the excel data pulling application. My main question is, does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on "data scraping" that can be used with password protected websites? I've been looking on google and youtube but I can only find very few examples and no one really "teaching it", just a few random and difficult to understand examples.

    Any ideas?

    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

I apologize for not clarifying this.

This is for me to logon to websites where I have my very own login information, I simply want to automate that process because manually it can be very time consuming. I just need to be able to tell VBA to go to that website and use my login information and then pull the same types of reports that I have to get daily, weekly, or monthly depending on the report I am needing. I just don't know where to start.

I am willing to research it for myself, I just was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction.
