When I open the webpage, clicked the button nothing happens for me.
Has anybody gotten this to work?
It's supposed to open excel and do stuff.

I got a warning about activex on load of page and again when clicking button.
I suspect that you'll need to knock the browser into compatibility mode (I did for IE11 and it worked (ish)), this will only work in IE and probably IE9 at the latest unless you use the developer tools to put the browser into IE5 mode. Both VBScript and JScript are pretty much dead as they've been replaced by JavaScript
