Afternoon All.

Complete VBA novice but going to have a crack at it. Working at a hospital I have a growing portfolio of approx. 100 awards that are listed under one of around 20 clinical units. Some units may have only 1 award, while others may have 9 or 10. We record the patient recruitment and budget spent on a monthly/quarterly basis for each award.

I would like to create a dashboard that will allow me to chart the patient recruitment and budget over months/quarters over a year against the YTD target. In addition, I would like to have an overview of the unit as a whole, so include charts that breakdown the Unit's awards by types of award, type of research etc.

I suppose my question is what is the best way to start; is it to run the charts of the large dataset, or split the dataset into units, and then run the various charts from each worksheet? Ideally I would have only one dahsboard and you can select which unit to display on the dashboard with a drop down if that makes sense.

I don't mind admitting I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all so any advice and tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
