Question VBA to copy cells from one worksheet to another on user input

    Hi all,

Help on this task would be so much appreciated.

I am creating a staff planner. I need to copy a range of cells from one worksheet, to another, based on a user input.

Scenario - on "front" worksheet, manager will identify how many staff will be available and input number into C3. This will then copy corresponding range of cells from "template" worksheet and paste into the "Monday" worksheet, from B4

Depending on the heading of the column in "template" (along row 2), will have to match the staff available value on the "front" page.

For simplicity i'm keeping with 3 staff just now, but this could be as much as 30 if this can be worked out.

I've attached a copy of scenario to show what I want to work with.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Would you enter some more template data for other days and manually add the result you would expect to see on two or more different days in response to a number on the front sheet. Then upload the workbook again.

One thing you could clarify is if there are more staff on the template for a given day than you need based on the front sheet number, which staff do you want to pick.

The final solution I'm sure will be better achieved with a sllghtly different layout to the template and a Pivot Table to show your results.

Hi, thanks. I have updated my scenario with more detail. Hope this supports my question better.

Clarifying - Staff input at the beginning of the week will remain for the duration, I will use conditional formatting when further down the line to identify discrepancies, when I have the VBA configured, so no need to worry about that just now lol.
