Use the filter within a protected shared sheet

I am not too familiar with VBA Code and don't know if there is something that can be done. My issue is I want the sheet to be protected, except to use the Filter. I found code that works, but only at my computer. These are shared workbooks and so I need it to work for everyone. I will attach the code and hopefully there is something out there that can be done. Currently, if cell A2 is selected it unprotects, and any other cell is selected, it protects again.
