Application.ontime, Running time increasing.

Dear Forum!

I have a macro that are supposed to run every 20 minutes to update the workbook with new information from a bunch of other workbooks, the update itself usually takes about 10 minutes. When the update is done, application.ontime now + timevalue is used to shedule a new update.

This routine has worked well for over a year but now the running time for the update increases for everytime. 10 minutes first time then 12 min. then 14 etc. etc.

This happened of course on my vacation so I would like to fix it as soon as I get back. Does anyone have any ideas of what might have happened?

I think i have found the source of my problem, I recently added a pivottable on a new sheet in the workbooks that I collect data from. The pivottable is then linked to a picture in the main sheet.

Removing this pivot-table feature seems to eliminate the problem with increasing running time. The tables are fortunately not necessary for my project, but do anyone have a clue why the tables would affect the running time of the application.ontime function??
