How to create combo box that will display columns?

I have a table with multiple columns. Everyone who uses this table will need to see columns A-H. However, each person will only need to see one column from I-O depending on what department they are in. I would like to hide these columns and instead put in a combo box. The user selects from a drop-down list which has all the headings from columns I-O. They select their department, and the relevant column is unhidden. Making another selection will hide the previous column and open up the new one.

    Thanks.

This solution requires macros. See attached.

Re: How to create combo box that will display columns?

Thank you very much. A couple questions:

    1. How do I change the name of the list items in the combo box? Simply changing the name of the columns does not do this.

    2. I would actually like to create a user form. Users select a department, which will show that column, but then there are list boxes that will also allow the users to filter the data in the other columns. All of this data appears once they click the "submit" button. (It's essentially just simple filtering but done in an easy-to-use form.)

    Thanks again!

    1. The names load when the workbook is opened. Change the columns names. Close the workbook. Open the workbook.

    2. I don't quite get what you're looking for here, but it sounds quite different than your original question. Perhaps someone else can invest the time in developing that, or perhaps you can try to get it started and we can help you along.
