I have tested the majority of the code from my Office 2010 macros on a Office 2013 machine, but one part seems to need updating.
It breaks at the ".Refresh BackgroundQuery:=False" line, which means it isn't updating/pulling the data.

I had read that if you remove the 'ODBC;' part from the query language it would work but that turned out untrue.
Can anyone assist?

It is not uncommon for Excel to change the connection strings between releases. You can verify the connection string syntax is correct at www.connectionstrings.com.
Clcik on the Excel link on the right side.
A new page will load. Look for the heading "Connect" on the right. Click Excel 2013.

None of those seem to apply to what I am doing, but I will admit I am not big on SQL.
Are you talking about changing the ODBC Query string, or the VB Code?

I was referring to the VBA syntax for the SQL connection string. I only suggested this because the was no change to the Refresh method of a QueryTable. The method is the same in both 2010 and 2013.

Record the import (in 2013). This will give you the proper Syntax. Modify the recorded Code as required.
