Hello,
I have been at this for a while, and cannot find anyone who's solution has fixed the issue I'm having. Here's the scenario:
My computer runs Windows 7 (64-bit) and I recently tried Office 365 on my machine; I didn't like it, so I uninstalled it. At that point, my Office programs stopped working. So I completely removed, then reinstalled, Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business (64-bit). It appears that most of my programs are running smoothly, except Excel, and the issue seems to be with the ActiveX Controls.

I have a file that runs fine with colleagues' computers, but the ActiveX Control Command Buttons that worked for me in the past are no longer functioning. I can't click them, or access their properties, or anything. When trying to insert a new ActiveX Control by hand, an error pops up which reads, "Cannot Insert Object." I tried adding new ActiveX Control items in a new, blank worksheet as well, same issues.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office 3 times. I've gone through the Control Panel and "Repaired" Office a couple times. And I've unregistered and re-registered fm20.dll using regsvr32 twice. I cannot figure out what the issue is!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Eternally grateful,
Josh
